Comments at Shoemoney.com at the center of slander lawsuit
Just been reading Shoes blog and he has posted that shoemoney.com is involved in a forthcoming court case as someone is alleged to have slandered someone in his blog comments…
I think this is a very worrying development but at the end of the day even though we all think the net is a free speech zone it still falls under the same laws as any other media..
For a while though i have been worrying about comments on blogs - not legitimate comments like on shoes blog - but comment spam…. I see increasing pressure from outside the industry to look at ways of curbing the flow of comment spam and i wonder how long until we see some blogger or network try to lobby or apply existing laws against the comment spammers…
Maybe im just being paranoid as usual but my spider sense is tingling a little….
